Colour trends for Spring and Summer 2020

Bright Dress, Bright Attitude

Although I love summer, last summer was not the best I have experienced. But yet, I tried always to look forward and stay positive. Fashion helped me to stay in a positive mindset and feel strong and powerful. I felt whenever I dressed bright and outstanding it gave me a feeling of passion, determination and strength, it automatically put me in a positive spirit. The vibe of this years color trends are bright colors, bright attitude.

Turmeric Yellow

Turmeric and pastel yellow are one of the spring/ summer colours for 2020. If you want to play it safe you could wear it as accessories or if you are bold and want to go all in, try to wear it from head to toe.

Red Earth

Red earth falls back on earthy hues, it can range form brownish tint to purple tint. It can be used as a basic and elegant color and therefore a perfect color for cardigans, shoes or bags. Read Earth can be combined well with black, with other read tones, curry yellow, camel, creamy colours or dusky pink, but it can be worn form head to toe. It made appearances on the runways of Victoria Beckham, Brandon Maxwell and Bottega Veneta just to name a view.

Flame red/ Scarlett red

Red is said to be one of the main colours in spring/summer 2020, it was represented in nearly all runways this year. Red to me is a powerful color. It represents strength and power to me. When you wear a flame red dress you definitely are an eye-catcher no matter where you are. A red dress can be combined well with black, brown, nude, creamy or dusky pink coloured accessories. If you are not the type for a bright red dress, you could do the opposite and combine red accessories with clothes in the earlier named colours, either way red is a great choice this season.

Neo-mint/ Biscey green

Biscey greed reminds us of cleansing water. Biscey green has more green than blue and appears therefore more cool and refreshing. It is well to be combined with creamy, beige and light brown colours, if you want to choose the brighter version you could combine it with a bright pink.

Heritage Blue, Tanager Turquoise, Faded Denim and Mosaic Blue

Nearly all blue tones were represented on the fashion shows this year. Therefore all named blue colours will be represented in this years spring/summer fashion. The lighter blue colours match very well with other bright pastel colors, were as the darker blues match bluegrey, rose or other blue tones.
